Retracing the history of the most famous soprano in the world, we cannot fail to mention the city of Verona, where Maria Callas met her future husband Giovan Battista Meneghini, a wealthy Veronese industrialist and great opera lover who immediately fell in love with her and offered to become her agent. Maria Callas arrived in Verona from America in 1947 and made her debut at the Arena of Verona on June 27 with the opera "La Gioconda" directed by Tullio Serafin. With the guide, you will visit the majestic Roman amphitheater and walk downtown to follow in the footsteps of the singer. In the afternoon, it is a must to make a stop in the beautiful peninsula of Sirmione, where Maria Callas spent 7 years in her fabulous villa, which was a refuge where she loved to relax by taking care of the vegetable garden and organizing dinners for friends and artists on the international scene. 3.     Day: The success in Venice and the meeting with Onassis

Maria Callas became Maria Callas in Venice. It is precisely at the Teatro la Fenice that in 1949, having to suddenly replace Margherita Carosio, in just five days she learned her part for Verdi's I Puritani, winning the title of Divina for her surprising "vocal agility". This marked the first precious piece of a career. that will consecrate her without exaggeration among the greatest myths in the history of musical theater. An intimate relationship with the lagoon city that goes beyond the stage: Venice is the setting for the first meeting with his great love Aristotle Onassi, at the historic Hotel Danieli. Besides knowing the Venetian vicissitudes of Callas, you will have the opportunity to visit the main opera house in Venice, the Teatro La Fenice where you can admire the relics that belonged to her and enjoy a walk in the centre to see the places she frequented such as the Florian bar where she took coffee every day. If possible, you will stop for a coffee too, perhaps sitting right at her table.

Another of the most significant cities in the life of the soprano is undoubtedly Milan. So dedicate the last day of your trip to discovering the “callassian” places of this metropolis, which is home to the famous Teatro alla Scala. The Theatre, in the decade between 1950 and 1961, was able to provide the great Maria Callas with the instruments that have transformed her into an internationally renowned legend. Here now, in the rooms of the Teatro alla Scala Museum, her life and her most important interpretations will be recalled in paintings and portraits that portray her iconic face. You will see the jewels of the scene and the sketches of the sets of the Traviata, the mythical Medea and the Anna Bolena. The guide will tell you about Maria's collaboration with celebrities of her time such as Luchino Visconti, Nicola Benois, Tullio Serafin and Franco Zeffirelli. After the lunch break in the centre, you will visit Palazzo Morando. Have you already been to Biki? Born in Milan and grandson of the composer Giacomo Puccini, from an early age she was attracted to the world of fashion until she was able to open her own atelier, which could boast personalities such as Maria Callas and the Empress Farah Diba among its various clients.
