DAY 1 - PALERMO
Free arrival at the hotel in Palermo. Check in .Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
DAY 2 - PALERMO / MONREALE
After a buffet breakfast departure to Monreale with visit to the “Duomo” (Cathedral) which is one of the most reknowned monuments in the world as well as the Benedictine Cloister, in pure Norman style. Visit the city of Palermo including the Cathedral, the Palatine Chapel in the Royal Palace, as well as a panoramic tour of the historical center. Lunch at a local restaurant .
In the afternoon visit the most important botanical park in Palermo with exotic plants coming from all over the world.
Visit to the Capo market.
Transfert to the restaurant for a cooking lesson in which the chef will teach how to prepare some traditional dishes that will be part of your dinner menu. Back to the hotel . Dinner and overnight .
DAY 3 - SEGESTA / ERICE / MARSALA
After breakfast departure towards Western Sicily. First stopping at Segesta visiting its magnificent Greek Theatre and Doric Temple. Then visit of Erice where you will taste our typical almond sweets. Lunch at a typical , local restaurant.
Transfer to Marsala, famous for its unique wine production. Visit to a winery and wine tasting of the great sweet wines of Sicily. Cooking lesson in a countryside villa .
Dinner and overnight at countryside villa.
DAY 4 - AGRIGENTO / PIAZZA ARMERINA / RAGUSA
Breakfast and departure to Agrigento for a guided visit to the Valley of the Temples, one of the most representative Greek site of the Mediterranean. Proceeding to Piazza Armerina . Lunch in a typical restaurant.
In the afternoon visit of the Villa Romana del Casale, a Roman villa rich on extraordinary mosaics. Proceeding to Raguse .
Dinner and overnight in a charming hotel in Ragusa Ibla.
DAY 5 – RAGUSA/MODICA/NOTO/SIRACUSA
Breakfast at the Hotel and visit of the wonderful churches and palaces in baroque style Of Ragusa Ibla.
Proceeding to Modica. Lunch in tipical local trattoria where you will taste all the typical dishes of the Mount Iblei.
Visit of Modica with its balconies adorned with grotesque frezies typical of baroque style.
Visit to the famous chocolate factory of Bonaiuto family where you will assist to the preparation techniques of chocolate. Proceeding to Noto and visit of its elegant and imposing monuments. Continue to Siracusa. Diner and overnight at your hotel .
DAY 6 - SIRACUSA
Breakfast. Guided visit of Siracusa, the powerful town of Sicily during the Greek age.
Visit to the archaeological zone and the historical centre of Ortigia isle.
Lunch in typical restaurant where you will taste delicious fish dishes.
In the afternoon you will visit the Palazzo Beneventano .
Free time in Siracusa .
Dinner and overnight at your Hotel.
DAY 7 - SIRACUSA/ MT. ETNA
Breakfast. Excursion on Mt. Etna. Cooking lesson at “Cucina del sole” by Eleonora Consoli . Lunch . Climb up the Mount Etna untill 1.900 m of altitude and possibility to proceed by jeep and escort up to 2.500 m. under the main active craters. Transfer to Taormina for a walking visit to this beautiful town famous for its Greek-Roman Amphitheatre and its enchanting views on the Jonic Sea and Mt. Etna. Enjoy the "dolce vita" life style, the several shops and cafes. Dinner and overnight at your Hotel .
DAY 8 - THE MADONIE MOUNTAINS NATURAL PARK
Breakfast. Transfer to the Madonie Mountains Natural Park, an amazing country region rich of ancient small villages, 70 kms away from Palermo. Lunch in a farm. Afternoon: visit of Castelbuono, one of the ancient village of the Park, rich of historical and artistic beauties and a tasting of typical sweetmeats.
Wine tasting to Santa Anastasia winery .Dinner and overnight in Cefalù .
DAY 9 – CEFALU/BAGHERIA/PALERMO
Breakfast at t the hotel. Visit of Cefalù ,a pleasant resort well known for its beautiful Norman Cathedral and medieval wash-house built in the rock.
Lunch at your hotel. Continue to Bagheria and visit Villa Palagonia constructed in 1715.
