This activity is an exciting way of motivating and integrating staff from different areas of a company. Part of the sport’s amazing appeal is it’s ability to get everyone working together in a very short space of time giving a real and lasting sense of individual achievement and team spirit.
A Dragon Boat is a thirty or forty foot canoe-like vessel with an ornately carved dragon’s head and tail, a steerer in the stern keeping the boat on course, a drummer beating time and up to 10 people (30’ boats) or 16 people (40’ boats) sitting in pairs ready to paddle.
Between 2 and 6 boats are usually raced at a time depending on the number of participants, the time available and the objectives of the client.
